There is a German school in Beaverton that has an annual Christmas market, complete with German food, products, music, dancing, etc.. We haven't been for a number of years, but because this year they made it an outdoor market, I thought we should give it another go. It was pouring rain, but we made the best of it. We were too late for the bratwurst (they sold out!), but we enjoyed German chocolate, baked goods, and candied nuts.
The market, which was held on the location of the Beaverton farmer's market, also coincided with the city's tree lighting, so we got to enjoy the lights set around the park.
Still in a mood for lights, we headed over to the Portland International Raceway to check out their display. We got to drive on the racetrack - what's not to like?
We also made treks to Peacock Lane (which we've done before) and to the Grotto (the lines were too long), but our favorite is still the St. Johns house.
