While Daddy's Away

Adam went on a fun trip with his brothers, and while he was gone, we tried to have a fun time at home as best we could.  We decided to make a trip to the zoo.  It was the first time that Harper really seemed engaged with the animals.

Harper was shrieking and waving at the elephants.

Getting in some good walking practice.

For a brief moment, I thought this lioness was going to attack the window!

As far as a picture with everyone together, this was the best we could do.

And because Daddy was gone, a slumber party was in order.

Claire and Harper selfie

Harper loves to find markers and draw all over her hands and face.  This day, she added her feet to the mix, so she's just showing me her handy work!

Claire and Henry were never ones to climb on the table.  Harper, on the other hand...

On our first 70 degree day, we went to the park, and Harper was loving it.

And she's finally walking!!!  At 21 months, it was about time.  She had a true case of "delayed walking", and I am happy that she's finally decided that she was ready!

Though she took this long to walk, she's been climbing up stuff for months (chairs, stairs, slides), so we knew nothing was wrong with her as far as capability was concerned.  It seemed overnight that a switch was flipped, and she was on her way!

My beautiful children

Enjoying some cracker time on the couch with mommy.

I was so happy to be able to volunteer in Claire's class for the Valentine's Day party.  I surprised Claire, and she was happy to see me.  Here she is with her best pal, Omreta, and friend Addison.

And with another classmate, Kylie.

I love living in a cul-de-sac with a bunch of other kids.  It means I can look out my window at any given time, and see this:

Some quality snuggle time with Daddy

Harper loves shoes.  It doesn't matter whose they are.  Even Henry's rain boots are fair game.

Boys for sale in aisle 5.

Cute girl and her ya-ya

This one cracks me up.  Claire is a great fill-in for Roosevelt, in my opinion!

Harper Turns 3!

We sure love this little girl, and we were excited to wish her a happy birthday.  But, of course, this little sassafrass decided to have so...
