We spent a few hours in Rockport, a sleepy little tourist/fishing town on the tip of Cape Ann (northeast of Boston).

This red shack is a really popular photograph/painting subject. It's called "Motif No. 1".

This little place might not look like much, but in back there is basically a pier where the fish are brought right up to the building for sale straight off the boat. It also provides the seafood for a restaurant down the road where we had lunch. The clams were amazing!

How gorgeous! I can see why a lot of people paint there. It is so lovely, it makes me want to go there so bad. For now, I will jsut have to appreciate the scenery via your lovely blog.
