My pranks aren't like your pranks ...

Have you noticed the new Intel advertising campaign where it portrays Intel employees as being a little different than the rest of the world? I think a joke I played on my co-worker recently might verify this claim.

The two of us were sitting in a conference room working on some things. He announced a need to go to the bathroom and left me alone ... with his laptop ... and he didn't lock the screen. Recognizing pure gold at the end of the rainbow, I jumped over to his computer and modified some of the auto-correct rules on his word processor. I set it up so that every time he typed the word "the" the computer would automatically delete "the" and "Matt, this is Satan. I've taken control of your computer." would be automatically pasted in its place. I hurriedly saved the rule and returned to my seat acting cool and smooth.

Upon his return he said he had remembered that he needed to send a quick email. I couldn't believe my luck. Being as his laptop was connected to the projector, I would get to witness my masterpiece. He started typing and made it through two sentences before he needed to use the commonly used definitive article. Then it happened. He typed "the" and then stared in silence for a moment trying to figure out why his computer replaced his text with the ominous message. Then without warning or comment, he just started laughing uncontrollably--nearly falling off his chair. I laughed too, impressed with my comedic genius and timing. Later that day, I saw this new Intel advertisement on the Internet and thought it fitting considering the days events:

Enjoy!

Very funny...but very weird, too. No wonder the bros said that you reminded them of the people on the OFFICE (TV show.)
